ABOUT ACTION PARK
Action Park is more than an ’80s tribute band—it is a theatrical trip back to the decade when MTV changed music forever. Created and produced by Joe Gills, the show combines live music, comedy, vintage video, costume changes, and characters inspired by the movies, television, music, and popular culture of the 1980s.
WHAT WE PLAY
Action Park performs recognizable rock, pop, new wave, and dance favorites from artists including Bruce Springsteen, Bryan Adams, Rick Springfield, Simple Minds, Duran Duran, Van Halen, Billy Joel, Hall & Oates, the Cars, Prince, Bon Jovi, Men at Work, the Clash, and many more. Every song is selected for its familiarity, energy, and ability to transport audiences back to the days when MTV ruled.
WHAT WE HAVE DONE
Action Park has entertained audiences at municipal summer concerts, casinos, theaters, festivals, farms, wineries, breweries, and special events throughout New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. The show has built a loyal following by delivering much more than a traditional cover-band performance.
ABOUT THE SHOW
With multiple character and costume changes, two large video screens, vintage MTV moments, comedy, and nostalgic props, Action Park transforms a concert into a complete 1980s experience. Audiences encounter familiar characters inspired by Marty McFly, Dr. Venkman, Goose, John Bender, Ivan Drago, Uncle Jesse , Biff Tannen and other unforgettable personalities from the decade.
Energetic, dance-friendly, and filled with audience interaction, Action Park invites everyone to sing, dance, laugh, and relive the soundtrack of the 1980s.
