From rockabilly and doo-wop to rhythm and blues, surf music, the British Invasion and early country rock, Palisades Park brings the unforgettable sound of the 1950s and early 1960s back to life.
More than an ordinary oldies band, Palisades Park is a fast-moving musical experience filled with familiar songs, colorful characters, vintage style and stories from the birth of rock ’n’ roll. Audiences will hear the music of Elvis Presley, Chuck Berry, Buddy Holly, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Roy Orbison, Ricky Nelson, The Everly Brothers, Dion, The Monkees, The Kinks, The Rolling Stones and many more.
Sing along and dance to classics including “Johnny B. Goode,” “Jailhouse Rock,” “La Bamba,” “Peggy Sue,” “Ring of Fire,” “Runaway,” “In the Still of the Night,” “You Really Got Me,” “Surfin’ U.S.A.” and, of course, “Palisades Park.”
Created by Joe Gills, producer of the popular Jungle Habitat 70s AM Radio Show and Action Park 80s MTV Show, Palisades Park continues his tradition of turning great music into a complete nostalgic experience. It’s a celebration of drive-in movies, transistor radios, sock hops, hot rods, boardwalks and the rebellious new sound that changed American culture forever.
